Objective:

• To provide a career planning process that will facilitate awareness of the most appropriate study at the best possible institution.

Student Consultation:

• Overview of the career planning process.
• Identification of your values, interests, academic and social skills.
• Understanding of your personality and how it impinges on career choices.

Outcomes:

• Understanding of what you need and want out of your chosen career
• Identifying possible career options.
• Identifying the most suitable courses and institutions for the achievement of your goals.
• Researching possible occupations.

Duration:

The initial extensive interview will involve the analysis, a review of the findings and presentation of a personal folder outlining courses and institutions discussed.

Later contact will be made regarding course selection following announcement of VCE results.

Please note: Our meetings are on a one-to-one basis, not group sessions. You and your future are our concern, and only an individual meeting can allow the extent of understanding we feel necessary for an accurate career assessment.

Process

The interview will involve assessment activities, the completion of a range of identifier tests, the writing of goals, the identification of promising courses and corresponding institutions and the development of action plans.
